CCTV Installation: common questions
Wired or wireless cameras?
We recommend wired cameras where possible. One cable gives each camera both power and data, so there are no batteries to charge and the picture is more reliable than over Wi-Fi.
Can I watch the cameras on my phone?
Yes. We set the system up so you can watch live and play back recordings on your phone, and we show you how before we leave.
Are there rules about home CCTV?
If your cameras only cover your own property, the data protection rules don't apply. If they capture the street or a neighbour's property, UK data protection law does, so you need a good reason, should put up signs and must keep the footage secure. We'll help you position cameras to cover what you need without filming more than you have to.
Can you install CCTV for a business?
Yes. We install CCTV for shops, offices, restaurants and blocks of flats, as well as homes.
