LED Strip Lighting Installation: common questions
Can you fit LED lighting into stair treads?
Yes. Lit stairs are one of our specialities. It's easiest when the stairs are being built or refurbished, but it can often be added to existing stairs too.
Why do LED strips look spotty?
Strips fitted without a diffuser, or too close to the surface, show the individual LEDs. Fitting them in a profile with a diffuser gives a continuous line of light.
Where does the LED driver go?
Somewhere you can reach it later, such as a cupboard, a loft or behind a removable panel. Drivers eventually need replacing, so they shouldn't be sealed behind plasterboard.
