Bounds Green homes and what's behind the walls
Bounds Green is mostly Edwardian and inter-war terraced houses, with plenty of them split into flats over the years. Wiring in homes like these has often been added to piece by piece, so it's common to find a mix of old and new cable, a fuse board that's run out of space, or lighting circuits with no earth.
When we work on these houses we test what's there first, then explain plainly what needs doing now and what can wait.
