Outdoor Socket Installation: common questions
Do outdoor sockets need RCD protection?
Yes. Outdoor sockets must have RCD protection, and they need to be weatherproof, with the cable and fixings suited to outdoor conditions.
Can you run power to my shed or garden room?
Yes. We run a suitably sized cable out to it, fit sockets and lighting, and make sure it's protected and tested.
Is it best to fit outdoor sockets before landscaping?
Yes. If you're having a patio, decking or a garden redone, getting the cables in first is quicker and neater than digging up the finished garden.
